“Google has drawn up detailed plans for the closure of its Chinese search engine and is now “99.9 per cent” certain to go ahead as talks over censorship with the Chinese authorities have reached an apparent impasse, according to a person familiar with the company’s thinking (wtf? -Jon).
Hey, Mr Yizhong, we don’t give a shit in America. Now you can’t use google and now you can just listen to whatever news the government has to tell you. So good luck with life, I’m sure it’s much better off when you have less access to information. If Mr. Yizhong is any indication of the future of China, I feel bad for the country. Information is apparently very destructive in China.. or maybe the government has done many bad things and the people would find out if they had access to info.
Mr Li encouraged Google to continue its operations in the country. “[Google] has taken 30 per cent of the Chinese search market.
“If you don’t leave, China will welcome that, if you don’t leave, it will be beneficial for the development of the internet in China.
