Joy Behar calls Preteen Single Ladies video “A Pedophile’s dream”

This morning on ‘The View’, the panel discussed the video of 7-year olds dancing to “Single Ladies” at a dance competition. Joy thought the video would be a “pedophile’s dream”. Whoopi disagreed. Whoopi says that it isn’t creepy, it’s a dance competition.
I’m not sure how I feel, on one hand it is a dance competition.. but the dance is really not appropriate for kids. I don’t necessarily blame the guy/girl who released it though, perhaps they released it to show how cool it was… not because the dude was a pedophile. Who knows. In a way, it is a shame that when the populous sees this video, they immediately go “Disgusting, pedophiles will love this”. Instead of saying, wow those girls are talented for being so young.
Then again, a video like this is promoting a sexualized youth culture, the fact this video is famous will only encourage other little girls to do things like this. US culture is rapidly becoming taboo-less. I fear for the youth!
