Rachel Maddow and David Letterman discuss Andrew Brietbart, Sherry Sherrod, and Bill O’Reilly

Rachel Maddow sat down with David Letterman earlier this week to discuss a host of political issues. The first on the docket? Andrew Brietbart and his misleading editing job that almost cost Sherry Sherrod her job. Maddow goes on to explain how Fox News and Brietbart are attempting to scare white people with their “scary black people” manufactured stories. Discussions like these are something seriously lacking in late-night TV.

Rachel Maddow Thrilled As Prop 8 Declared Unconstitutional (Video)

Rachel Maddow was all smiles today as a federal judge has ruled California’s ban on marriage for gays and lesbians is unconstitutional and Prop 8 has been shot down. Joining Maddow on the show were the attorneys responsible, David Boies and Ted Olson. Today was a big victory for the gays and America in general, it’s nice to know that some parts of our constitution are still being upheld. The losers of the day? Mormons. The Mormon church spent millions of dollars on getting Prop 8 passed and it was all for nothing.

Last night on the O’Reilly Factor, Nihad Awad of Council on American-Islamic Relations sat down with Bill to discuss the new mosque being erected only two blocks from ground zero. Bill argues that it will hurt the feelings of the relatives of those who were killed on 9/11 if the mosque is allowed to be built.

Cenk Uygur Talks Gay Marriage and Religion on Dylan Ratigan Show

Rarely on mainstream television do anchors dare question religion or religious issues but Cenk Uygur is different. In this clip from the Dylan Ratigan show, Uygur explains why marriage is not a sacred institution to begin with. Last year the divorce rate was 52%, that’s more people getting divorced than staying married.

Jessi Slaughter Webcam Chat Might Prove Abuse (Video)

This video just surfaced on youtube, it’s a webcam window recorded by one of the members in the chat. Apparently her father discovers her using the internet and begins screaming and yelling at her, it also sounds like she is slapped in the video. It has been fun to pick on Jessi Slaughter but sadly domestic violence isn’t that funny.

Sherri Sheperd Tells Bill Maher he Needs to Talk to God (Video)

Last year, Bill Maher sat down at ‘The View’ to promote his new film, ‘Religulous‘, a documentary that questions religious beliefs. There’s no doubt he was expecting some illogical arguments from the cohosts but I doubt he expected this exchange with Sherri Sheperd, or the audiences reaction. Maher’s facial expression says it all.

Is BP Bleaching The Coast To Hide Oil Contamination? (Video)

As tarballs wash up on beaches along the coast, it’s becoming clear that we are only just beginning to feel the effects of this disaster. What’s worse? Things could be even more dire than we know(and probably are), as many people are coming forward claiming that BP is attempting to hide the severity and danger of the spill. In this clip from the Washington Journal, taped yesterday, a man calls in claiming to have footage of BP bleaching beaches along the coastline at night, to keep them white and hide oil contamination.

Liz Cheney Calls for Obama to Shut Down Wikileaks

In this sigh-inducing clip from Fox News Sunday, Liz Cheney calls for Obama to contact Iceland’s government and have wikileaks shutdown. Republicans seem to be forgetting that the documents released show that we have very little reason to be in Afghanistan. I’m starting to think Liz has sold her soul to the devil.. but hey, when you’re a Cheney and your father is technically the living dead, maybe getting some brownie points with the man downstairs isn’t such a bad idea.

Kathy Griffin Cracks up Craig Ferguson on Late Late Show (Video)

Kathy Griffin sat down with Craig Ferguson recently as part of Griffin’s media tour for ‘Life on the D-list’. Though Griffin often receives a cold or confused reception from most of her interviewers, Ferguson and Griffin seemed to get a long just great.

Bill O’Reilly and Richard Dawkins Debate Religion

Atheist, author, biologist, and philosopher Richard Dawkins is not the type you’d imagine to sit down with the loud-mouthed Bill O’Reilly.. but perhaps it is a good way to spread his message to Fox News viewers. The high-profile Dawkins has become the face of atheism in the last decade due to the release of several books on the subject of religion, most noteably, ‘The God Delusion’. Watch as Dawkins tries to talk some sense into Bill, good luck!
