Rachel Maddow: Obama Finally Realizing He Can’t Work With Republicans (Video)

Author: Jon Martin | Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 |

Republicans were not happy Monday after Obama’s Labor Day speech veered off into some light Republican-bashing territory. When he wasn’t chastising Republicans for blocking important votes in the house and generally obstructing Congress, Obama outlined his 50 billion dollar infrastructure spending plan. Republicans have come out sharply against Obama’s plan but the strange thing is they have repeatedly stated they are for infrastructure spending.

In this clip from the show, Maddow compiled the multiple instances in which Republicans have recently called for infrastructure spending. Maddow points out that four Republicans are even co-sponsoring a bill for infrastructure spending that they are attempting to pass in Congress.

Rachel's a Moron!! The reason the Republicans are concerned about Obama's tax cuts is because he was doing the old bait and switch. As we found out, he was only lowering the taxes on certain businesses, but raising taxes on the gas and oil companies, which is, of course, popular in some parts of the country, but they've been hit pretty hard already this year, and ultimately it raises the cost of living for all of us! So I say good for the Republicans for not allowing him to raise the price of our food again, or the price of everything else we buy!! Also, there is still plenty of stimulus money that hasn't been spent. If he needs more money for infrastructure, let him pull it from there! It shouldn't just be an open slush fund any longer, it should get used it if was going to get used, otherwise reurn it to the people.
