Bill Maher: The Tea-baggers named themselves after a gay sex act, they aren’t too bright (Video)

Bill Maher sat down with Jon King on CNN yesterday to discuss Obama and Pot legislation. Jon King played a clip of Rush Limbaugh saying that the president is an economic ignoramus and Limbaugh told Obama to “go to hell”. King asked Maher for his view and Maher laid it out quite plainly- “you will not convince me that this isn’t a racial thing”. Maher went on to say that although tea-baggers say that they hate being called racist, they are clearly racist. 99.9% of the tea party movement is white and it just so happens that Barack Obama is black.
King tried to play the “equivalency” game with Maher, playing a clip earlier in the week of Joe Biden saying he was going to “strangle a Republican”. Maher points out that sometimes things aren’t fair and balanced. Rush Limbaugh saying the president should go to hell is a lot different than Joe Biden saying what he said. We are supposed to be united as a country, this is our commander and chief, Biden was talking about Republicans he works with in a playful manner. Playfully saying you will strangle someone because of the trouble they are causing you is different then telling someone to go to hell, or in essence, go die. As Rush sees it John Mccain will be seeing Osama Bin Laden AND Barack Obama at the gates of hell!
Rush Limbaugh almost had me fooled after his Family Guy episode.. but this guy is just trying to incite people. Trust me, he’s a provocateur, he’s addicted to saying things that will shock/surprise/upset people. He’s not alone, Doctor Laura, who said the n-word several times a few months back, was doing the same thing. I don’t think Laura Schlessinger is even racist, she was just getting some sort of glee from saying the word, knowing it would upset the woman she was talking to (who wasn’t black).
Do I think Rush Limbaugh HONESTLY hates our president? No.. but he does like upsetting the left wing while alternatively energizing his base. It’s fun for him, I bet he can’t believe he’s paid for what he does. The only thing he has to worry about is saying something too over-the-top… but the way things are going, I doubt that will happen.
Unless Rush Limbaugh blames everything on the Jews (Rick Sanchez/Helen Thomas), I can’t imagine him leaving his post very soon.

I don't really care about all of the ridiculously stupid things Limbaugh says… I care that there are millions of Americans so stupid as to seriously listen to him.
