Sean Murray has disappearedAuthor: Jon Martin | Monday, September 28th, 2015 |
Sean Murray, the creator of No Man’s Sky and one of the founders of Hello Games seems to have disappeared from twitter and all social media. Last month, the much-hyped ‘No Man’s Sky’ was released on the PC and PS4 and was immediately hit with a backlash of disappointment. Several key features touted to be in the game were nowhere to be found, there was no multiplayer, and the game was so seemingly incomplete that both Sony and Steam were offering refunds, no questions asked, for a short time (they both deny it now).
In a time where both devs and management should be reassuring fans, and making sure they keep playing, both Hello Games and Sean Murray have disappeared from social media. Murray has become a pariah in the gaming industry overnight, so it’s no surprising he is avoiding contact with anyone, especially gamers. Hello Games, on the other hand, has a job to do, and that’s to keep itself afloat, and at a time where so many fans need reassurance, Hello Games has made the mind-boggling decision to stay quiet.
