American Mcgee, creator of the “Alice” series, posted this piece of “scrapped” development artwork today. Mcgee recently finished work on Alice: Madness Returns and has let fans in on the design process by showing his back-and-forth with EA over certain character designs. EA wanted a more “mature” look and feel to the game, while McGee tried to maintain his personal vision for the project.
Created this after reading about American McGee’s trouble with EA during creation of Alice:Madness Returns. Seems to be doing pretty well on reddit, sweet sweet karma come to me :O
In the original Portal, your character Chell, woke up in an empty room, cut off from the world, a seemingly innocent computer program leads her from puzzle to puzzle, each room a new death trap. While the puzzle’s were addictive, and the Portal gun was a bit of a revelation, what really sold the experience was the world and slow build of the story, the ending was also completely satisfying.
As a big fan of Little Big Planet and also a person that harbors massive opinions, I have spent time mulling over what I’d like to see in Little Big Planet 3.
