@zpcole The focus wasn't gaming, it was television/kinect/sports/call of duty. I liked Sony's conference much better #xboxreveal

John Stossel sat down with Ann Coulter last night to discuss the war on drugs. Stossel lamented the failed war on drugs, saying we lock up more people than any other country. He also said that Coulter is smart but he doesn’t see how she can’t see the folly of the drug war. Coulter cites the welfare state as a reason not to stop fighting drugs, saying that when people start doing drugs, they will stop caring about everything else, and then not only will we be paying for their drug use but also their healthcare.
John asks Ann if we should make everything illegal that can kill you, including motorcycles. Ann says that people on motorcycles kill themselves faster, so it’s Ok, she also says that smokers die sooner too, which is also why it’s OK. Ann says that smokers help social security because they die earlier. Coulter is in full troll mode today, enjoy it and try not to be too enraged.
John asks Ann, ‘what about all the death that happens just to stop people for doing drugs?’ Ann says that she would have an open mind but that there is a difference between alcohol and drugs. Coulter says that murder went down during alcohol prohibition, implying that if drug laws were lifted, America would become less safe.
Earlier tonight on The O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly sat across from Dave Silverman, president of American Atheists to discuss the new atheist Billboards being erected around New York City. Silverman and American Atheists erected the signs in response to the amount of pro-religion and anti-atheism billboards currently lining our highways. Bill took no time in jumping on Silverman for “calling Americans stupid”, Bill said that Silverman said religion was a “scam”, that implies that anyone that believes in it is stupid.
This is a false argument though, meant to distract Fox News viewers from the real question of whether god exists or not. Instead of taking the time to have serious and thoughtful debate about the issue of religion, it seems that Bill would rather paint Silverman’s views as ‘hateful’ or ‘elitist’. It’s a shame, I wonder, on a professional level, how many great interviews O’Reilly has passed up because he doesn’t even try to be a good interviewer. That said, Silverman makes some key mistakes. Bill asks him how the tides work, and Dave doesn’t seem to know. The tides are controlled by the sun and the moon. You’d think the guy on the side of reason, logic, and science would have pointed this out. Then again, having Bill scream at you is probably a little disorienting.
Fox News favorite and self-professed atheist S.E. Cupp sat down on Fox News to discuss “the threat” of Wikileaks against America, calling it an Information Terrorism Organization (scary phrase). Time and time again Cupp provides interesting fodder for atheists…
Jon Stewart sat down with Rachel Maddow earlier tonight on MSNBC, Maddow’s home turf. Ever since Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity, there has been a lot of debate about whether Stewart’s rally had a point. Bill Maher said…
Earlier today on ‘The View‘, Whoopi and the panel discussed California’s Proposition 19 or the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010. The panel overwhelmingly seemed to support the legalization of marijuana. Even Barbara Walters brought evidence that showed marijuana does not act as a ‘gateway’ drug, at least not in Amsterdam. Obnoxiously enough, Eric Holder, The Attorney General, says that even if Prop 19 passes, the government will continue to enforce the laws against marijuana at a federal level.
Earlier tonight at the Kentucky Senatorial debate , a Rand Paul supporter was filmed by a local news affiliate stomping on the head of a Moveon.org activist. The Moveon.org volunteer, Lauren Valle, was sent to the hospital after she explained…
In this video, a man has just brought his wife to get an abortion, her child has no chance of survival and is essentially dead in the womb. As it turns out, her and her husband have been trying for…
On Saturday the Scream 4 trailer debuted at Spike TV’s “Scream 2010″ awards. The real version isn’t out yet but the videotaped version is! (and it’s not half-bad). The award show doesn’t actually air until Tuesday night, when this is SUPPOSED to premiere.. enjoy.
A week after September 11th 2001, Bill Maher sat down with his panel on ‘Politically Incorrect’ to discuss 9/11 but little did he know that his comments on this show would eventually get the show cancelled. During a debate about terrorists, Maher refused to call the terrorists cowards, Maher said the U.S was lobbing cruise missles from thousands of miles away and he thought that was more cowardly. Maher’s comments sparked a huge controversy and soon advertisers began to pull out, in the show’s final months it struggled to find support but was eventually canned.
In this clip from Bill Maher’s ‘But I’m Not Wrong’ stand-up special, Bill comes out on stage for an encore performance after finishing his set. Instead of just telling a few jokes, Maher hosts a faux fashion show with Muslim Dior models, all wearing makeshift niqabs.
Adam Carolla’s podcast is one of the top on the Itunes charts and with good reason, his hilarious improvised jokes rival even those of Howard Stern. In this clip from Loveline, Carolla’s earlier radio show, he and Kathy Griffin take a call from a born-again Christian. The born again Christian wants an apology from Carolla for some off-color jokes earlier in the show… but both Carolla and Griffin are atheists and don’t plan on apologizing.
Democrat Jack Conway claims that Americans should not be allowed to farm hemp because Marijuana is a “gateway drug”. Hemp is farmed in many other countries (including Japan) and until the early 20th century was still legal. Conway is the democratic nominee for Kentucky for the 2010 US Senate Election. If you don’t agree with him, you can show him by NOT voting him into office.
Before hitting it big with her television show and stand-up film, Jesus is Magic, Sarah Silverman tried her hand at acting. In this scene from the 1999 film, ‘Way of the Gun’, Silverman’s scene almost overshadows the entire film. Even if you hate Sarah, you have to admit, there could be no one better to play this character.

Right-wing conservatroll Ann Coulter has made a name for herself by pushing people’s buttons. In this clip from Adam Carolla’s old radioshow, Ann calls in later for a phone interview. Coulter starts making excuses but Adam isn’t having it and quickly cuts her off.
Levi Johnston just won’t seem to go away, it’s bad for the Palin’s but good for almost everyone else. Levi is an oddity of sorts, he has no real talent, he doesn’t really give very good interview… but we keep him around because we know it makes Sarah mad. Watch as Levi and Jimmy discuss Bristol and Levi’s recent engagement, their un-engagement, and Levi’s plans for the future.
President Bush passed the “Bush Tax Cuts” during his presidency to help high-income earners keep a larger percentage of their income. The tax cuts, passed in 2001 and 2003, are sent to expire soon.. and with the economic recovery looking as dire as ever, expiration is particularly controversial. Rachel explains why Republicans are pretending extending the tax cuts will help Americans.
President Obama’s first term as president has not been a cakewalk. The economy collapsed JUST as he came into office and ever since, things seem to get worse by the day. It was announced today that Obama is dissolving the position of “ethics czar”, the “czar” in charge of making things transparent. Obama has decided to embrace the rules that Bush administration carved out for themselves and ignore transparency.
